The "Playground of the Month" initiative is a partnership between Lethbridge Plays and the City of Lethbridge Parks department. It seeks to spotlight and promote playgrounds by recognizing one each month May-October, for its design, accessibility, and inclusiveness. This initiative aims to raise awareness about public play spaces, encourage community engagement, and inspire play.

Playground of the Month 2025
This playground is great for any season as it has a hill that offers many fun activities such as rolling or running down it or tobogganing in the winter. With its big open space, this park would also be great for games such as tag, obstacle courses, or flying kites.
The park celebrates William Pearce, who in 1876, along with Dominion Land Surveyors, commenced laying out the grid system that included townships, ranges, sections and road allowances.
In 2023, a new playground opened in the downtown core. This space features inclusive and accessible play equipment, rubber surfacing, a plaza space and park furniture.
Legacy Regional Park is the first major regional park on the north side. The park spans 73 acres and was designed for people to play, relax and connect with their community.
