Jean Suavé Playground
September’s Playground of the Month is Jean Suavé Playground at Pavan Park!
Tucked into the north end of Pavan Park, this large, nature-themed playground is the perfect place for little adventurers to climb, explore and get their wiggles out.
Surrounded by open space, picnic tables, wildlife and more than 10 kilometres of paved and gravel trails, Jean Sauvé is more than a playground stop. Pack a lunch, stay for the afternoon and turn your visit into a full family adventure.
The Wiggle Room crew thinks this playground was made for wild imaginations. Is the play structure a forest hideout? A woodland castle? A base camp for tiny explorers?
Jean Suavé Playground is full of little features that invite kids to explore, create, and find their own way to play.
Try a Wiggly Wildlife Scavenger Hunt
One you’ve explored the playground, take the adventure beyond the play structure! See if your family can spot:
A bird soaring overhead
Three different kinds of leaves
An animal track
Something rough and something smooth
A rock with an interesting shape
A bug busy at work
Something that makes you say, “Wow!”
Remember to admire the wildlife from a safe distance and leave natural treasures where you find them for the next explorer to enjoy.
Pack Your Adventure Bag
Planning to stay awhile? Bring along water bottles, snack or a picnic lunch, sunscreen and hats, bug spray, comfortable walking shoes and binoculars if you have them.
Pro Tip
Plan for extra time! Once the kids have climbed, explored and played, take a family stroll along one of Pavan Park’s nearby trails.
Seasonal washrooms are available during the warmer months but are closed during winter.
Make It Part of your day
Jean Suavé Playground is a great starting point for exploring everything Pavan Park has to offer. Play at the playground, enjoy a picnic, look for wildlife and head out for a family walk along the trails.
Happy playing, Lethbridge!
