Lethbridge Plays Presents: Fall Mini Play Summit

Join us on Friday, October 9, 2026 for our Fall Mini Play summit focused on Risky Play.

This years featured speaker, Dr. Sergio Pellis from the University of Lethbridge, will share insights from his internationally recognized research on risky play and child development. His work has been referenced around the world and explores how play helps children build confidence, resilience, problem-solving skills, and independence.

Following Dr. Pellis’ presentation, participants will take part in an interactive session led by staff from the Helen Schuler Nature Centre. This hands-on experience will explore practical ways to incorporate risky play and outdoor play into everyday environments and activities.

Whether you are a parent, caregiver, educator, or simply interested in supporting healthy child development, this summit offers opportunities to learn and gain new perspectives on the importance of play.
