ARPA Session

Bringing Back Play - How can we make play a priority in our communities? Play is an integral part of healthy human development. In this session, you will learn what the latest research is saying about the importance of play and how a local ‘play project’ tested the difference play makes for children. Play charters are being created locally and internationally to prioritize play in communities. These unifying documents are being used to raise awareness about the importance of play, influence policy decisions, and create communities that prioritize play. We will look at specific steps that can be taken to create an effective Play Charter and share some research and evaluation tools that have been used to measure the impact.
